Recruitment and Screening Process

On YakuYaku you will find two groups of translators.

The first, standard group consists of freelancers and professionals presenting detailed profiles. Anyone can create a profile here for free, without meeting any special requirments.

The second group is a list of recognized translators; these are experts, who are qualified to take Impossible Jobs. In order to be recognized, they go through a strict screening process and are tagged with this label.

There are two ways a standard translator can become a recognized Impossible Translator:

1. Apply and pass the screening process
2. Gain automatic recognition by the YakuYaku team through previous achievements and extensive experience

In order to go through the Impossible Translation screening, the following is needed:
- proof of identity
- an official university or college degree in translation
- references from at least two translation agencies or regular companies, including a sample of previous work
- regular participation in trials to confirm translation quality

The screening is conducted by at least two YakuYaku Project Managers.
